Locating L/R speakers beside big screen TV (1 Viewer)

So I am in the process of designing an entertainment cabinet to house my big screen tv - 61" Sony- and all my gear, including new Snell XA1900 in cabinet speakers. My question is, do you want the speakers right next to the TV, or do you want the equipment next to the TV and then the speakers on the outside? I have looked for info on this and haven't found a magic formula in regards to this issue. The speakers are 30" tall and 13" wide, with 2 8" woofers, 2 2 1/2" mids and 1 1" tweet. The center lays on its side while the sides stand up. Thanks for any info you may have on this.
