They say that the model is out of production now, which my local dealer hasn't mentioned, so I believe that the Canadian dealers are getting the news faster, since they're made in Canada?
Anyway, my concern was, does anybody in Windsor/Sarnia (anywhere near the border) know a dealer than still has at least one pair of 7's in stock, or could find out? I'd really like to catch a deal on close-outs, but don't knwo if I'm too late. I'm saving money as it is buying in Canada, but the more the better. [IMG]
Unless, someone else is planning on selling theirs for such a nice price like I saw a few months ago....[IMG]
    Thanks in advance!

Why would there be a closeout? Not much, if anything is changing, AFAIK. It's not as if they are being replaced with an entirely new speaker.

Well, I dunno, I would assume that they'd at least want to sell off the older speakers, and they'd have to be at a cheaper price, because no one would pay a price and get the older model...
Just a hope, perhaps? I just spent an hour auditioning the Monitor 7's and DefTech BP-8's.....can't afford the DefTech's, but I think I still like the Paradigms. I just want to be happy. [IMG]

I haven't seen any closeouts. My dealer is just selling off the current stock, and will just replace them with the new versions. Paradigm states that the changes are minimal, and the speakers should be sonically identical. That means to me, no reason to sell off existing ones.
Might try looking around for some used ones though, to save some $$$.
I don't know how I missed the fact that this is in Windsor. Oddly enough, I've been there. [IMG] I've only been to Mi a few times, and one of those times, we drove up to Windsor to hit up the Casino.

So I should stop dreaming? The guy I emailed said the new ones would be more expensive...guess they'll just keep the v.2's at the same price. doh.

Yep, I forgot to mention that. I believe there was a slight price increase across the board for Paradigm for the new models.
