Little help with my new setup (1 Viewer)

TV - Sony Bravia 46inch KDL-46W4100
Theatre System - Sony HDX576WF

Im trying to hook up My HD Cable box and PS3 both... I thought as long as my PS3 and cable box where in the TV with HDMI and the theatre is also in the TV via HDMI ... though all this would be plug in play as it stated in the manual.. well it wasnt.

I have component cable with the Cable box to the reciever so that works.. but not from all 6 speakers... all but the center are working it seems as long as i have AF mutli selected in decoding... so Im not sure whats up woth that.

So now Im guessing I need to get a Optical cable for my PS3 to the reciever to get it working with the surround sound .. That sound right?

Any tips or more Information to get this going would be awesome

I'm not familiar with those components necessarily, but it looks like you can set it up this way:

PS3 to HDX576WF via HDMI (video and audio)
HD cable box to TV via HDMI (video)
HD cable box to HDX576WF via optical (audio).

HDX576WF to TV via HDMI.

Note: This configuration will not allow you to use the PS3 without using the HDX576WF as well, but you will be able to use the HD cable box without the HDX576WF.

my center speaker still isnt working... and i can only get one thing at a time in surround... either .. PS3 or Cable... i dunno wtf is up.
