Thomas, thanks for the links.

I've already installed 3.02 Final for the LVD-2001 and everything is running smoothly. Just started looking at a couple discs and nothing much to report at this time other than the new firmware seems to reduce the amount of cackle in the soundtrack when fast forwarding and skipping chapters, and it has eliminated sound stutter when bringing up the Display menu while watching a DVD.

Of note: No new features regarding OSD and Setup up items. The good news is, nothing has been eliminated. The 2960 hidden menu is still there and functioning. I have brightness, contrast, and saturation all set at 0 and looking great that way.

Don't see any reason not to install this firmware.
