It's not even anamorphic. Talk about mutton dressed up as mutton.

So far the Lion's Gate series has been nothing more than a re-release of an existing DVD with different artwork.

That's really worth the upgrade. [IMG]

Thanks Lion's Gate... thanks for nothing... again.

And how exactly does this qualify as "Signature Series"?

Ya, it looks pretty lame as far as any extras go.

Still interested in any reviews of the actual transfer, though. The original disc suffered from some seriously bad artifacting and shifting within the image (especially people's hair). If this new disc is remastered with better encoding, it would be worth the 'upgrade' at least for me.

The only "good" thing, I guess, is that the Lion's Gate disc is about half the price of the previous Universal disc. I've been wanting to get Affliction for a while but couldn't see spending $25. Now it's only $12, much more reasonable, even if it's bare bones.

So...it's not anamorphic? I swear I remember when preordering it, DVDEmpire had it listed as Enhanced, which is why I ordered it. Blimey! [IMG]
