Line level inputs on sub???? (1 Viewer)

Hi all


once again about my sub. im running my sub off of the pre-outs on my reciver but the sub has Land R inputs for line level why????? if i run the L&R chanels to the sub wont it sound distorted or somehing ??? cuz sometimes 2 differant sounds are recorded for each chanel in a song at the same time wont that sound weird ???

The line level connection can benefit those who do not have any bass management in their receiver. If you run the speaker wires from receiver to sub and then to main speakers, the sub's internal crossover will filter out the lower frequencies to the speakers. Since most A/V receivers have an LFE output along with built in crossovers, the preouts are normally used.

You might think so, but the sub amp just sums them and it works out fine.
