"Limited Edition" DVD Versions of all DreamWorks Animated Films on 10/26/04? (1 Viewer)

I have not seen any official announcement, but I spotted the following DVDs from DreamWorks all with a 10/26/04 release date:

• 678149190625 Antz
• 678149190427 Chicken Run
• 678149191127 Joseph: King of Dreams
• 678149191028 The Prince of Egypt
• 678149190526 The Road to El Dorado
• 678149190724 Shrek
• 678149190922 Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas
• 678149190823 Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron

Some retailers are listing these new releases as "Limited Edition" like on DDD and DVD Planet, but from what I can tell the material looks identical to the previous releases except for new DVD covers and UPC numbers.

It really only looks like DreamWorks has dropped the MSRP price of each of these to $14.95 and is re-releasing them in time to promote both the theatrical release of Shark Tale and the DVD release of Shrek 2?

If that is the case, I wonder if they will also include discounts for the Shrek 2 DVDs and possibly include trailers and/or promotional material for both films?

At the very least, I suppose if someone had wanted to buy some of these DVDs, but had been putting it off, the new price drop certainly seems like a great bargain as most of these are feature filled DVDs.

Hm.

I'd like the Shrek (1 and 1/2) 3-D short film without having to buy a full-screen single disc of Shrek when I've already got the good 2-disc special, please...

Lowering prices and promoting the new release is good, but I've got the Dreamworks animateds I want already (Antz and Chicken Run, and my Mom loves Spirit...).

The DVD's are the same as the original releases, the only thing "limited" is the price drop tie-in with Shrek. After the promotion is over, the DVD's will revert back to their original prices.
