Hi everyone, I’m new to this forum. I’m not really sure if there is a “search” option! if there is, and this is a frequent topic, I apologize!
I need lighting that allows me to operate remotes and grab a drink etc., when my room is dark while watching a tv. What is everyone using? I can’t read the buttons on the remote when the lights are out. Now this may seem like an easy thing, but I want to make sure the lighting I’m talking about doesn’t light up the room, taking away from the movie experience, but allowing me to see my remote. Any suggestions would be amazing!

thanks.
Derek

Derek,

If your goal is to have a low level of "scene" illumination you can go with Lutron's RA2 Select or Caseta series lighting which will dim your existing lights and can have preset "scenes" with various light levels. If this is too costly, you could also use a standard Lutron Maestro IR wallplate and set up a macro on your remote to turn it on.
