The only problem I can see is that once you have slected a "dim" level, the next command turns the light off.
I use a Lutron Spacer control, but it is more expensive. I paid around $75. Some Home Depot's / Lowes sell this unit. I'm sure you can get it online for less somewhere.

maybe...the only downside that I see, and you won't know till you try it, is that occasionally dimmers radiate emi hash that finds its way into your lines or through the air or both. but if it does, you'll know it. now get the module that calls up the pizza and brew truck and you're all set.
