I bought the "new" edition of Licence to Kill after confirming that MGM has indeed corrected the synchronization issue that was present on the previous DVD. As fans know, on the first edition Pam's line, "Well what are you waiting for? Get in!" and then Bond's line, "Yes, sir" were ridiculously out of sync. This new disc gets it right.

Incidentally, I bought my copy of it at Borders. Usually they charge list price, but they had it for $14.99. I don't know if that's the cheapest price, but I couldn't resist it.

$14.99 is now the list price on Bond movies IIRC

they wouldn't happen to have improved the compression on this, would they?
sadly, one of the worst looking discs of all the Bond movies-major artifacting.

Is MGM doing a replacement for those of us who bought the original issue of this disc?

If so, who has the contact info...

I'm also interested in this. Anyone out there know if MGM is replacing the disc?

I think it's great that MGM has fixed the problem. I have put off watching my original disc because of it.

I sincerely hope MGM allows us original owners to exchange our discs like they did for the other Bond discs that had defects.

If anyone can find out any info from MGM regarding a replacement, please paste it here.

Hopefully the fact they corrected the sync issue in "Licence to Kill" means that they will fix all the issues with "On Her Majesty's Secret Service".
