Actually considering all of the other professional grading monitors that sell for $40K + this is a very reasonable price. This is not a consumer grade display. Disney Pixar just purchased quite a few of these to master their films. Here's a Youtube that speaks about how they selected LG's new 32" OLED monitor for their reference grading monitors.
Now that the 83" C1 OLED is available for $5429 and the 86" QNED99 miniLED priced at $5249, I love to hear some thoughts on which would be the better buy for watching mostly movies (80%) and the occasional sports and gaming (20%) in a family room with curtained windows on the opposite wall.
@Robert_Zohn is the new $4997 price for the 83" C1 staying around for this year's Black Friday sale? I am very close to pulling the trigger on this if this new price stays around.
Does anyone know what the latest firmware update to LG's OLED sets actually does? My G1 updated a couple of days ago, but LG never gives any details on what these updates actually do.
