LG has collaborated with Lucasfilm for today’s unveiling of a Star Wars edition OLED evo 65-inch C2 display, which will be available to buy at a later date at LG.com. Limited to 501 units in the US, the TV will feature a Star Wars inspired user interface, aesthetics, packaging and gallery of content from the movie.
The TV will be on display at LG’s Star Wars Celebration exhibit from May 26th to 29th at the Anaheim Convention Center. The C2 model also features a Star Wars-themed cosmetic design with branded version of LG’s remote and a gallery of related content, all delivered in Darth Vader branded packaging. LG says the remote control user interface mimics a lightsaber with the sound of Darth Vader’s breathing when turning the TV on. Each TV box will also include a numbered certificate of authenticity.

I don't know that lightsaber noises will make the Magic Remote any more fun to use, but it can't hurt.

I'm shopping for a bedroom TV right now. My wife wasn't very receptive to this idea. 😢

LG has just released some of the Conceptual Designs and Journey of Darth Vader gallery mode images. Pretty cool...

Ah, the old "limited production" scam. Not falling for that.
Neither would I. I don't think it is worth the premium for a picture gallery, a remote with Star Wars printed on it and a cardboard box with a picture of Darth Vader; however, other people may very well think it is worth the coin and, for them, they wouldn't be wrong.

I think you've inadvertently illustrated why the rich get richer and the poor, well, you know. There are some exceptions, of course, but probably only a few in this particular case.

The price for this hasn't been announced. That's the MSRP of the regular 65" C2 OLED.

From the CNET article:
That's what I meant by "base" model, which means the customized version will cost substantially more. The absolute most I'd pay for a 65 incher these days is maybe $1500.00.
