Stupid question time; I lost the cord for my LG BP330 bluray player. I've purchased a new cord w/AC adaptor but it says the cord is only good if machine is positive polarity. i don't see anything on the machine that says polarity -- but I do see "5v - 500mA" ... the dash has a couple of smaller dashes underneath it. Is that telling me it's negative polarity? I've searched up the official product sheet and it does not list polarity. Thanks in advance!

I believe it is talking about the polarity of the plug contacts. There should be a little graphic showing the polarity of the center contact. Hopefully there is one on both the adapter and the player. They should be the same.

the voltage should also be the same. I’d think the player would need more than 5V, but I’m just guessing.

It appears that this player uses a “wall wart” AC adapter? If so you should probably only use an original factory replacement.
