LG has announced its latest 4K UHD home theater projector in the CineBeam line, the model HU810P. The company says that this latest beamer which can produce a 300-inch diagonal image with 2,700 ANSI lumens, can achieve “cinematic picture quality”. With a claimed 20,000-hour laser light source life span, the HU810P can also offer 97% of the DCI-P3 color space, has a 1.6x zoom, as well as horizontal and vertical lens shift.
A ‘brightness optimizer’ and ‘iris mode’ offering two bright room and dark room presets can detect the amount of light to improve image quality for the specific environment, and an adaptive contrast feature will adjust each frame in darker scenes.  A TruMotion mode increases frame rate (if desired) and there is support for HDR10 and HLG, as well as dynamic tone mapping.

This class of projector is looking more and more appealing as new models are announced. While a lot of other things aren't so ideal these days, it's a great era for Home Theater!
