LFE Settings for DTS (1 Viewer)

I seem to receive conflicking views.

Is the LFE higher or lower on DTS 5.1 DVD's than Dolby Ditigital 5.1?

Do you raise or lower the LFE for DTS?

My receiver has a DTS - LFE adjustment from 0 to -10.

I can not raise it only lower it.It seems as if LFE is raised on DTS software.

If my set up puts the LFE at -7 , DTS lowered by -10 would be -17 and that does not make sense.

Please shed some light on the issue.

There's frequent discussion with regards to the level the LFE ch is recorded at for DTS vs DD, but in the end....Focusing on this and trying to compensate for it is a mistake and it's heading in the wrong direction. The software and the equipment will automatically make the required adjustments for the LFE level in DTS. With you speakers calibrated properly, you SHOULD NOT need to have different LFE settings for DTS unless this is your preference.
