IVE TRIED EVERY SETTING I CAN THINK OF AND I STILL CANT GET MY SUB TO PUT OUT SOUND. i HAVE A JVC SA70 DVD PLAYER AND I USE THE INTERNAL DECODER AND USE THE 5.1 ANALOG OUTS. IF ANYONE KNOWS, PLEASE HELP ME [remember, this is only for 2 channel cd's, otherwise sub is fine]

i have no receiver, I have my analogs hooked to a passive preamp then the signals go to my 5 channel amp.
the sub signals get split into my stereo power amp. I have no "extra" decoder. eeverything comes from the dvd player

i had posted this in the basics area but thought more experienced ppl come looking here

Does the JVC allow you to set a crossover freq? And allow you to set your mains as "small" or "large"? That would be the only way you could get a .1 signal out of a stereo CD. There is no LFE signal from a CD. You have to crossover the low freqs from the mains to the sub.
