need some advice to which is the better unit. buying one real soon.
The Lex by a long way. DD/DTS Logic 7 and a full seven speaker setup is a great improvement over 5.1. Lexicon also have years of experience in surround sound whereas EAD come from a two channel direction and it shows.
Lexicon have also been very good with upgrades and tradeins.
And looking to the future (and without being a doomsayer) I would feel a lot more confident that Lexicon (backed by Harman) will be here for the long run.
One thing to keep in mind: Lexicon will shortly begin their program allowing MC-1 owners to trade up to the new MC-12. When that happens, there should be plenty of good bargains on used MC-1s.
If you care about the quality of sound/fidelity get the EAD. If you care about DSP modes and configurability get the Lexicon.
Burke, why did I know you were gonna say that ? Really your singing praises of the Integra's qualities as made me want to hear this pre/pro very much. Rest assured that if the budget ever allows, the RDC-7 would be given much more than passing consideration.
