sure. This will work.

Always consider a UPS for bulb based displays. If the power goes out with out the bulb cooling down you can blow the bulb.

Gregg, thanks for chiming in! That's good about the surge supressor, but he also mentioned the UPS thing... can you give me an idea of what's involved and maybe a guesstimate of what it'll run me $$$?? Would it be installed down on my service box on that circuit? Since the outlet is on the ceiling, I hope so...

depends on your installation. If just ceiling tiles...put the UPS with your HT gear and run an extension cord.
