Level ground for RPTV? (1 Viewer)

my floor on the sides near the walls slant up a little and causes the right side of my tv to be a little higher than the left size. Does that affect it in any way?

I have a similar question - my RPTV sits on a ledge inset into my wall about 20" off the floor, and with the directionality of RPTV screens, this results in a very dim image from a regular seated position. I can help the situation by blocking up the rear of the RPTV to tilt the entire screen down toward the viewing area but I was wondering if there is any problem that might arise from doing this. I assume any calibration work should be performed in this position.
