I'd like to see some comedians give it a shot (like Janeane Garafalo, Bill Cosby, etc did when Dave was having heart surgery). Such as:

Chris Rock

etc...

Johnny Carson back as a guest host would be great....bring back Ed too as the sidekick, and get Doc to play with Paul and the band....that'd be awesome.

Someone mentioned Wayne and Garth hosting in full costume. With Garth as Band Leader, of course.

I'd love to see them poke fun with the guests as well. For instance, have someone bring out Bob dole and Bill Clinton, only to have Dan Akroyd and whoever does Clinton on SNL currently come out with the real deals.

They could have some real imaginative fun with these guest hosts if they read this thread .
