i was discussing this game with a friend of mine a few days ago. he said that he doesnt like the way the game turns out to be, that tecmo relies too heavily on the swimsuits.

well i didnt quite agree with him because i have seen a few screenshots of the game. to me, the girls were portrayed appropriately. on the beach, who cares to wear jeans, for example. they looked more like models, and quite elegant. the best human models i have seen so far.

i have to admit that i dont like sport games in general. the last sport game i played was ssx on ps2. the idea of playing a volleyball game on the beach, even though the characters looked ultra gorgeous didnt really attract me, until i read a few previews about the game.

tecmo has incorporated tons of extras into the game, from customizing the outfit, mini arcade game ( doa3 ), dance competition, casino, etc etc. it looks like they really created the island to be a big island that we can roam...sounds nice isnt it.

i am gonna get xbox when they offer the new package deal...and after shenmue2 and panzer dragoon, i might pick this one up. especially if the price were under 30 bucks ( i am a cheap bastard, but come on, aside from those two i still have metroid and resident evil zero for the cube...not to mention shinobi and dmc2 on ps2...gta vice city...aarrggghhh)

It's a tough call because Outlaw Volleyball is on the horizon as well, and that one will support online play. I assume that means Xbox Live, although that wasn't spelled out in the trailer. Both games look beautiful, but like everyone else, I am waiting to see how they play. If both of them play reasonably well, I may go with OV just for online play. Hopefully they will be sold in plain brown wrappers so I can get one of them past wifey... [IMG]

I love Beach Spikers, and I love DoA, so I can't wait for DoA Volleyball.

Just go buy the calender for the game, featuring all the women of the game. My girlfriend got one for our apartment. She is more excited about the game than me! I honestly cannot wait for this, and then the rumor of multiple lenticellular covers!
As for as actual gameplay screens, the ones they are showing are representive of the final game. I believe that 100% even though it hasnt been said. Just look at DOA3! Add a year to that technology and it becomes amazing.
