As I may be looking to purchase some new speakers soon, I have decided that I want everyone on the HTF to go shopping with me. These speakers would be used primarily for music, but might get some theater use as well. Also, the set-up would be two-channel, but include a subwoofer. While I realize purchasing speakers involves many considerations (components involved, room size, personal preference, etc…), I would like to put all of that aside for now. This is a poll question aimed at gauging the membership’s gut-reaction to some particular brands. Please feel free to elaborate as much as you like on your choice or not at all. So, on with my question. I am coming into your home to confiscate and remove your two front mains. You MUST replace them with one of the following sets without benefit of preview. Which one would it be?
    JBL Northridge Series – ND310II ($700.00/pr)
    JBL Studio Series – S310II ($760.00/pr)
    Klipsch Reference Series RF-3 ($718.00/pr)
    Paradigm Monitor 7 ($649.00/pr)
    Paradigm Phantom ($529.00/pr)
    Paradigm Legend ($749.00/pr)

If you must take my pair of B&W 603-S2.
I want your Paradigm Monitor 7.
But I'll cry when they leave [IMG]

Easy as pie here. First off, I have three sets of mains in three rooms. These include Polk, Klipsch, and AR. The AR's are in the living room and those are what I'd exchange with you for your lovely Klipsch RF3's. And, it has been VERY nice doing business with you.

Oh no! You are not going to take my Monitor Audio Speakers away from me without a fight! [IMG]
But, if I had to choose from your list, my gut reaction would be to go with the Paradigm monitor 7 or Legend. I am not a big fan of Klipsch, but they do have a big following. My brother in law loves his!
    Good luck with your purchase.

First, if you walked into my home to confiscate my NHT 3.3s (assuming you could move the 125 lb. behemoths, that is), you'd be carried out, but if I had to chose a pair on your list I'd pick the Paradigm Monitor 7s.

Well, I guess I'd give you both my Norh 4s and Fried Betas for the Monitor 7s.
