I watched a few minutes last night and walked away not liking what I saw.

Once I detect something going wrong with grain - in this case in the sky during main titles - I’m done.

No idea what WB is up to. Won’t be wasting words on a review.

what did you not like mr harris.?

if anything, I found it almost too good to be true… Is that what you’re referring to?

Grain "management" or problematic compression. Generally, other than that, it looked fine, but once I see that...

Disappointing that previous supplements aren’t ported over. Sort of forces us to keep old stuff. Thanks for the review, Todd. Buying the steelbook now- I like the cover art.

I opened the packaging, and found that this is one of those difficult spindles that won’t release the disc easily. The reason I don’t like steelbooks. 😡

Ahh
gotcha, I did wonder if they were using denoising for the image
it looks extremely clean, definitely makes you question it at times…
But you have a much better eye than I do so they may have wiped it.

I was impressed by the HDR implementation, the colors look so good they’re almost oversaturated.
skin tones doesn’t look like normal flesh tones, they seem to be enhanced.

but I did enjoy it overall

Wow, that's harsh. The main title shot is obviously a dupe, are you saying that the film grain management is wonky for the whole film?

RAH stated he only watched a few minutes of the movie which is quite different than this thread’s review, who watched the entire movie.

Dirty Harry already was, and another movie whose title I can't recall right now. It seems that Warner is bringing back grain management in their workflow, which would a shame if it hits more titles in the future.

Go with what your eyes are telling you. IMO, it’s a fine looking 4K/UHD that I’m extremely happy with.
