Does anybody know of any websites where you can legally dowload DTS or Dolby Digital encoded material to play on your CD player. Here is a site: http://www.sr.se/multikanal/english/e_index.stm that allows you to download DTS material but it is in Swedish. I'm looking for something similar although in english.

Somewhat off-topic — I've read a few years ago that it's not possible to have a CD with a Dolby Digital track on it, whereas DTS CDs are common. I went to the site in Larry's post and downloaded one track (the speaker setup test track) in both DTS and DD. I subsequently burned them on a CD that plays back perfectly in my CD changer and both DTS and DD tracks are recognized by the processor without a hitch. The DD track is 640kbps, BTW. Does anyone remember what was cited as a [technical] reason for impossibility of a DD CD existence?

That Swedish dts stuff is quite interesting, There is a car chase from Swedish 5.1 radio that is pretty cool and works well with ES!

Michael, thanks for the link. I already know that it is possible, I just remember that when first DTS CDs showed up that people brought up the subject of DD CDs and somebody said that it wasn't possible. So I was curious to see if anybody remembers that.

If I burned these DTS files to DVD+R, would my player recognize them the same as a CD-R?

    Hey Larry,

Here is a site with material but not much DTS.

    http://www.cinenow.com/us/vobtrailer.php3

Do not know anything about it other than the web address.

    Never downloaded anything.

    Gods Love
