Hello,
I have an old Sony DB825 receiver (only does dolby digital), and when I run the test tones, the right speaker is a lot louder than the left speaker. There is no balance option, so I can't even them out. Before I start moving speakers around (to see if the speaker is bad), do receivers eventually go bad? I know that they will eventually fail, but are there signs that a reciever is going bad? I don't know much about speakers, but I would not think that 2 of the exact speakers could have a large volume difference (I take very good care of my speakers, and have never had the sound too loud).
I just ordered a new DA4ES, so i will know for sure if it is my receiver..
