When Ben and Sera are gambling in the casino, Ben's all drunk and nodding off, then the waitress comes over and asks if they need anything. The dialog is very faint in this scene, though I can hear Ben respond about wanting a bloody mary right before he loses control in a drunken rage. But my question is, what did the waitress say to piss him off? I can't hear anything.

I don't think we were supposed to hear, because to a person who wasn't losing it, it didn't matter what she said.

After he asked for the bloody mary, Ben kept saying "What?! WHAT!!?" I just can't hear what set him off. Actually, that's the only part of the whole dialog that I can't hear. I'm thinking that she must've said something about him being drunk and not needing a bloody mary.

The point is that he cannot be told "No" when asking for a drink. He tells Sera that she can never tell him "No" when he wants a drink. She agrees.

If you could hear her tell him he was too drunk, you could draw the feeling that she was rude or didn't say it politely enough, but without hearing the denial, you only get to see his reaction, which is supposed to be the point of the scene. It doesn't matter how she says it. He can NEVER be denied a drink.

I always wanted to hear Forrest Gump's speach at the reflecting pool (available on the special edition laserdisc) but never felt the need to know what the waitress in Leaving Las Vegas said because it isn't relevant to the story at all.

Its been awhile since Ive seen LLV so I may be off here.

But I remember while he's ranting you can hear him say something like "Im his father". I always thought it was a explosion of kept in anger(lose of wife, son and job)brought on by drunkeness.

I once saw someone break down and cry hysterically and carry on over something that happened 10 years prior because they were obliterated. It came out of nowhere.
