Napolean Wilson - ASSAULT ON PRECINCT 13

By far my favorite character ever in film. Okay sure, Spock is a household name, but Joston's performance as Napolean Wilson is not only the best part of the film (where Spock's performance is merely supporting) but it is also laced with some of the wittiest Hawks-ian dialogue ever. Not even close for me, and he should not be losing this badly...

These will run until Sunday night.

There was a tie between Mary Poppins and Matt Hooper. Although I love Jaws and Matt, I have to admit that Mary Poppins is the more interesting and unique character.

Mary Poppins(Mary Poppins)Julie Andrews wins 11-10 (sorry Jaws fans!)
Max Rockatansky(Mad Max series)Mel Gibson wins 13-3
Michael Corleone(Godfather series, The)Al Pacino wins 15-3
Mr. Glass/Elijah Price(Unbreakable)Samuel L. Jackson wins 4-2
Mr. Spock(Star Trek series)Leonard Nimoy wins 8-3

Neal Page(Planes, Trains & Automobiles)Steve Martin
"If I wanted a joke, I'd follow you into the john and watch you take a leak."

or

Neil Macaulay(Heat)Robert De Niro
"Everybody stay down! We're here for the bank's money, not your money. Your money is insured by the federal government, you're not gonna lose a dime. Think of your families, don't risk your life. Don't try and be a hero."

===

Nick Charles(Thin Man, The)William Powell
"The important thing is the rhythm. Always have rhythm in your shaking. Now a Manhattan you always shake to fox-trot time, a Bronx to two-step time, a dry martini you always shake to waltz time."

or

Nikita(La Femme Nikita)Anne Parillaud
"What's the worst that could happen?"

===

Norma Desmond(Sunset Blvd.)Gloria Swanson
"And I promise you I'll never desert you again because after 'Salome' we'll make another picture and another picture. You see, this is my life! It always will be! Nothing else! Just us, the cameras, and those wonderful people out there in the dark! ...All right, Mr. DeMille, I'm ready for my close-up."

or

Patrick Bateman(American Psycho)Christian Bale
"Do you like Phil Collins? I've been a big Genesis fan ever since the release of their 1980 album, Duke. Before that, I really didn't understand any of their work. Too artsy, too intellectual. It was on Duke where, uh, Phil Collins' presence became more apparent. I think Invisible Touch was the group's undisputed masterpiece. It's an epic meditation on intangibility. At the same time, it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding three albums. Christy, take off your robe. Listen to the brilliant ensemble playing of Banks, Collins and Rutherford. You can practically hear every nuance of every instrument. Sabrina, remove your dress. In terms of lyrical craftsmanship, the sheer songwriting, this album hits a new peak of professionalism. Sabrina, why don't you, uh, dance a little. Take the lyrics to Land of Confusion. In this song, Phil Collins addresses the problems of abusive political authority. In Too Deep is the most moving pop song of the 1980s, about monogamy and commitment. The song is extremely uplifting. Their lyrics are as positive and affirmative as, uh, anything I've heard in rock. Christy, get down on your knees so Sabrina can see your ass. Phil Collins' solo career seems to be more commercial and therefore more satisfying, in a narrower way. Especially songs like In the Air Tonight and, uh, Against All Odds. Sabrina, don't just stare at it, eat it. But I also think Phil Collins works best within the confines of the group, than as a solo artist, and I stress the word artist. This is Sussudio, a great, great song, a personal favorite."

Peter Gibbons(Office Space)Ron Livingston
"Well, I generally come in at least fifteen minutes late, ah, I use the side door - that way Lumbergh can't see, heh - after that I sorta space out for an hour...Yeah, I just stare at my desk, but it looks like I'm working. I do that for probably another hour after lunch too. I'd say in a given week I probably only do about fifteen minutes of real, actual work."

or

Peter Venkman(Ghostbusters)Bill Murray
"Back off, man. I'm a scientist"

===

Peter Vincent(Fright Night series)Roddy McDowell
"Back, spawn of Satan!"

or

Philip Marlowe(Big Sleep, The)Humphrey Bogart
"My, my, my. Such a lot of guns around town and so few brains!"
