    Hi All,

A friend of mine has a pioneer 503 LD player that he wants to sell. He wants me to make him an offer but I don't know what would be fair.

He says that the auto-reverse doesn't work but I suspect it's pretty simple to fix. I also know that it doesn't do Dolby Digital but that can be modified.

    Thanks,

    Jeff

Jeff, I'd offer no more than $50. It might not be real cheap to fix the autoflip. This was the least expensive player with autoflip in 1994. It does have a toslink output on the plus side. Best wishes from Laserland!

I'm with Rachael, no more that $50, assuming that it works as a reliable single side machine right now. Burke TV & VCR in Burke Center does really good LaserDisc repair work at good prices. About a year and a half ago they replaced the motor in my 704 for $180.

Thanks for the info Racheal and Philip.

Philip- Yes you guessed it. Just seeing Return of the Jedi and hearing the Crow in DTS has got me craving more!
