Has anybody done any comparisons between a LCos RP and the new 1080p DLP sets. I was looking at the JVC 70" LCos RP but want to hold off now until I have seen the Samsung and Mitsubishi 1080p. Anybody have any experience with the JVC LCos sets? Thanks.

A big fan of the LCOS. The 1080pDLP don't use 1080p chips, they use less than that with wobulation to approximate 1080p, which functions quite well. You can identify these dlp sets by the fact that the pixel grid is diamonds/diagonal rather than up and down like normal fixed pixel displays. LCOS won't have the on/off CR, but IMO the lack of rainbow and screendoor gives it a superior picture.
