LCD prices to drop in March? (1 Viewer)

I just read somewhere that LCD prices should drop 40% in March and then an addditional 30% later on in 2005. Could somebody explain to me the theory behind this? What is special about March? Is that when all of the inventories are cleared out? Is it strictly because everyone is getting their tax refunds around that time?

I'm just curious as I've recently decided my next TV (Sony KDF-WE42655) but am searching for the best price.

I read in a computer mag (can't remember which one) that production of LCD glass was increasing due to new plants coming on line and prices on 17 & 19 inch glass would be coming down in the spring. Good news I'd say. Didn't realize it would affect the TV market.
