Any recommendations for component video cable vs. S-video for use with an LCD(3) FP? Will I see a difference with this projector? For DVD use, no HD signal available yet.

"Hitachi Home 1" and cable needs to be 9-10 meters.

Projector specs.:
854x484 native res (max 1280x1024)
700 lumens (expect 450-500)
contrast 800:1

I have been using Monster 3 component (to 36" Wega) but have not found length for FP.

Recommendations? If not Monster 3, other brands?
Thanks,
~Lou~

Most would say the difference between S-video and Component isn't very big for 480i images. The componet will be better though, but not by a huge amount or anything. If you go with a 480p or greater signal from your DVD then you will need component cables as s-video is not capable of carrying progressive signals.

I'm waiting for a 30' set of component video cables and a 30' S-video cable from bluesjeanscable.com (they advertise here). Most around this forum seems to speak higly of the company and the product. They are WAAAAAYYYY cheaper than Monster or other companies like BetterCables and Transparent.

I did a little research, if you buy the parts and tools needed to make the same cables as bluejeans, it would still be cheaper to buy from them. They use high quality Canare and Belden parts.

Just my $.02
