Will look into this. But at $45.00 Pass. I know it will come down on Amazon. It will drop a bit more on Amazon.
I will end up getting it down the road soon.

$45 is the suggested retail. Amazon currently has it on pre-order for $31.99.

I’ve been waiting for this. I pre-ordered this and Bridge on the River Kwai on Amazon. Looking forward to essentially first time viewings.

Thanks for the review. Too bad the included blu ray is not mastered from the new source used on the 4K disc.

That is one ugly steel book for a vintage movie IMHO. Look to the 4 Hitchcock films on how to do it right paying homage to the original marketing art.
Sony has typically had “new” artwork for their steel book editions, using more original artwork based on film posters for the standard packaging.

So if the included discs have already been reviewed don’t we really just need a review of the case itself I.e. is it embossed? Do the colors pop? etc and a link to the prior?. But thanks for the review, even if previously reviewed.

Is the Blu-ray features disc included here also included in the standalone Blu-ray release from a while back? Or is there anything new for this edition?

I have had the good fortune to see Lawrence of Arabia multiple times in theaters in 70mm but have not made a disc purchase. I don't need the 4K disc as I am not 4K equipped right now but would be willing to consider it in order to get those extras.

Amazon just now dropped their price to $29.99.
And there you go!
Give it a week tops.
And BB and Walmart/Target will drop it even more.
And the price war is on. Then Amazon will have some Prime deal on it. At $20.00... They're off and running.

I have a complete 4K setup. It's worth it. All the new stuff I get now on DVD is 4K. If it's out.

Lol can it hold a bologna sandwich and keep it cold?

Steelbooks are collectibles so therefore:
What does the back cover look like?
What images do the inside show ?
Is the front glossy or matte?
In addition to what I already mentioned above

Basically that’s all I care about when I buy one of these whenever the quality of the content already known .
And if on a rare occasion one of these is manufactured with different content then of course I’d want to know.
