Uh-uh. Not going to do it, nope - this will lead to at least 15 other box sets joining it with no end in sight. Must... have... self-control...

Just asked. Those e-tailers jumped the gun there. I even know where they got their early info from! Press release isn't until next week. Cover art should accompany that release.

Sweet lord I'm screwed. I'm going to have to give some of my current preorders the axe to accomodate this one.

...I mean, c'mon, it's Law and Order for God's sake!

I Like Law & Order and if there was going to be a box set to get it would be this excellent first season, but I have too many other shows I like more and L&O is playing ad infinitum on TNT and A&E. So I'm passing. If I ever find this used then maybe. In contrast I will be picking up NYPD Blue's Excellent 1st year.

Well, for those interested, the two-part Julia Roberts episode is available on DVD in Japan.

I am surprised that Universal hasn't released the Hercules tv show with Sorbo. But, I am hoping we will see Miami Vice or Sliders. I am going to assume Battlestar Galactica is coming.

I'd Buy a box set of Galactica. I hope that universal would give us more than the episodes . It seems that prices on Box sets are standardizing for 1 hour shows to be about $99 per season. I was kind of hoping they would be more in line with the Buffy sets. A Season of Shows for $50 is a great deal. But Prices of TV Box Sets are all over the Map

B5 22 eps per season $99 with Discount around $69
Sopranos 13 Episodes $79 with Dicount around $60
    24 obviously 24 episodes $59 I picked this up online for $38
    X Files 22 shows $149 list Around $100 Online
TNG 26 eps per season $149 (No MAP but this price Anyhow)
    $89-$99 on sale

I'll be buying 7 Seasons of TNG $595
    7 Seasons of DS9 $595
    11 Seasons of Mash $255
    1 Season of 24 $40
6 Seasons of Star Gate $300
    5 Seasons of B5 $350

When you start Adding it up it boggles the mind and that's not counting Movie Releases. Good things I don't have kids to put thru college.

There's going to have to be some heavy thinking about stuff I really really want cause it's doubtful I can afford it all.

Argh, Babylon 5... Star Trek: TNG, and now another favorite, Law & Order! Now I'm glad they let Chris Noth go after Season 5, because I won't have to buy anything beyond that point!

Does anyone here think the quality of the show has declined over the years? After Chris Noth left the show he was replaced with Benjamin Bratt. Never before did the show exploit the sex appeal of any of its stars but Mr. Bratt was paraded around in his undershirt on several occasions. Shortly thereafter, didn't the attorneys start sleeping with each other? (yuk) This used to be a show that stuck to the facts of the case and never lowered themselves to "who is sleeping with who" soap-opera nonsense. I think some of the more recent cast changes have weakened the show. I never even got into the spinoffs, which I refer to as "Law & Order: Deep Space Nine" and so on. Anyway, I won't have any trouble limiting myself to the first five spectacular seasons of this excellent show. [IMG] [IMG]
