I wonder if they like how you host a show, your invited back so they can continue to decide if your a candidate for replaceing Craig Kilborn?

My next door neighbor is friends with Craig Ferguson from the Drew Care show, and a week or two ago, he hosted the s how for two nights. I thought he did a great job, and was more interesting to watch in the first half of the show than Kilborn was(I liked Kilborns interviews, didn't care for his jokes/comedy).

Can't help but wonder if Ferguson is up for the job since the'yve invited him back to host a weeks worth of shows soon..

Has anyone else noticed a guest host they thought would be great as a new host?

Drew CArey I thought would be good, but he was a bit uncomfortable t owatch, as he looked like he really didn't want to be there..

I hope not. He was one of the worst hosts I've seen. They should just draw a name from a hat.

According to an article I just saw they've narrowed it to four. D.L. Hughley, Craig Ferguson, Michael Ian Black, and Damien Fahey. All these are returning for another appearance. Of these I would go with Damien Fahey. I thought he did a pretty good job. I didn't think D.L. Hughley was very good at all. Personally, I would really like to see Mike Gibbons get it. He was pretty good when he guested and I always enjoyed him when he did stuff while Craig was host. But if it's just down to these four, I guess that's not going to happen. Here's the article. http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmp...on_latelate_dc

Anyone except Drew Carey... eck.

Craig Ferguson was really great, as was D.L., I guess a lot of people do not care for Michael Ian Black, but hey, he delivers a lot more laughs than Kilborn ever did. Damien on the other hand should not get the job, did you even see him on it? He kept asking how HE was doing, and not nearly enough about the guests.

My vote is for Ferguson. Best part of The Drew Carey Show. Drew Carey made a terrible host though.

EricW-

Craig was a lot like Craig Kilborne, but almost always funny. ;) He honestly seemed interested in the guests and always had something to add to the guest comments.

I wish Michael Ian Black got the gig, but he is young, and will get his shot sooner or later. After Jimmy Kimmel?

I always tape a little bit of the Late Late Show after Letterman, and tonight I caught a bit of David Alen Greir. Don't know how I missed him the first time around, but he was pretty good as well..

Susan Sarandon? What? Please tell me Craig will start up full-time fairly soon!

Damn, I forgot to tape Bob Sagets Hosting bit tonight. I got the first five minutes, and he seemed to be doing a pretty good job....

I would bet cash-dollar that the Late Late Show has gotten more coverage online in the last few months then the entire run of when the first Craig hosted it. I know the ratings are much better this time around, but does anyone know any exact stats?

Thanks,

Ryan

I really cant watch the late late show no matter who is hosting because for me nobody beats Conan O Brian. He is honestly the best late nite act to watch IMO.

I've been watching this and the guy is really funny IMO. Didn't really watch it when Kilborn was on, but I'll be taping this every night(because it's on at the same time as Conan). I'm not sure if I actually like the guy, or if it's just his Scottish accent. A funny bit from last night:

"Today in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, Phil the groundhog saw his shadow. So you know what that means. 52 more weeks of ignoring Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania."

I started watching this a few weeks ago because Conan took a couple weeks off. His opening monologue is great, and I love when Dan McVicar from The Bold and the Beautiful comes on and does a soap opera bit with Craig. But, I flip to Conan when the interviews start because Craig only gets B and C-list stars.

He's had some genuinely interesting non-Hollywood people on, like Kara Cooney talking about King Tut. He does a pretty good interview; better than Leno. But they tend to end abruptly. I also don't mind B- or C-list stars if they have something to say, or if they're really hot (that's where Kilborn had the definite edge).

His accent is enough to keep me tuned in. I love that sing songy scottish accent. You can't help but start talking like him. Billy Connolly is the same way, only much more pronounced in the accent category.
