Is another version of a DVD for this movie in the works or planned?
Is the current release anamorphic?I couldn't find anything saying it was.
The region 2 version supposedly has a music video and a featurette,so Region 1 or 2?
    Thanks[IMG]

I could have sworn I saw something about a special edition...although the current version is cheap...

Current Region 1 version is a regular Columbia fare: one side is a P&S transfer and the other is anamorphic widescreen.

Checking Deep Discount DVD, you can get this title for 9.90 shipped which is a great deal. This film has top notch DD sound, and if Dracula is any indication as to how long we will have to wait for a SE, it is well worth it to buy the current version.

I picked up the current edition at Target (I know...I know...) for about ten bucks.
Zero features, but a great transfer for a rather underrated film.
I'm sorry, this is guilty pleasure. I've always wanted to be in an action movie. Running around, shooting guns, blowing stuff up...sounds like fun.[IMG]

I must agree that the anamorphic transfer of the current DVD is very good, especially given that the DVD came out relatively early on, and is much better than the typical transfer from way back then (all of 2 of 3 years ago!) [IMG]

I also find the audio and video on this disc very nice!

And as much as I love this movie, I am very happy with what I have now and do not think I would buy a rerelease.

if a reissue has a John McTiernan commentary, Ill get it! I have really come to admire McT though his commentaries, and I am really waiting for the holy grail - Hunt for Red October...

I'll even rent rollerball down the line if it has one :)
