Now, I don't actually have any LPs of my own but check out this little device. Just thought I might give you guys a heads up, assuming this hasn't been discussed already...
I remember the ELP laser turntable being around since the late 80s, when it was called the Finial turntable (I think). In recent years, Stereophile did a listening test (not a full-blown review) of one and enjoyed it.
I used to own a Sony turntable with a powered slide out drawer (which allowed other components to be stacked on top of the turnatble) that resemble the ELP turntable.
There have been some discussions of the laser turntable over at AVS forum and links to the Nipponese company that makes them. Last time I lookd they had 3 models. Seems like the cheapest one was $9000+. It'd be great to have one but price has always been the problem. Best wishes!
