Laser alignment? (1 Viewer)

I am having a problem with my Philips DVD player. It doesn't read any discs. I thought about trying to align the laser myself, but I am not sure how to go about it. I've already had the unit cleaned and tried sending it to Philips but they would only replace it with a refurbished one for $135!....any suggestions?

I've got a philips DVD player with the same problem, it's not worth sending back to philips for me... But if someone has some tips on making it work I'd appreciate it too.
