laptop (cd rom) mechanism question (1 Viewer)

hi all -

i've been leaving my cd's in the tray when transporting my laptop around. am i causing any damage by doing this?

seems like the cd snaps securly enough in place, but i wonder if the laser lens is bouncing around or anything like that?

i wouldnt think the lens would be bouncing around any more than if there was no CD in the drive...

heh nah yer fine man, the laser assembly is generally not disturbed by such things.
