James Gregory was Sen. Iselin from The Manchurian Candidate and Inspector Luger from Barney Miller. I bet he was quite the character in that episode.

I just can't see William Daniels as playing anything other than Mr. Feeny.

There's no way Frank Burns would ever be allowed to work for the police department.

Captain Vernon Rausch (actor John Dehner in “The Knightly Murders”) is my favorite one.

My two favorites:

Keenan Wynn (as Capt. "Mad Dog" Siska in "The Spanish Moss Murders" and "Demon in Lace").

From "Demon in Lace":

Capt. Joe 'Mad Dog' Siska: Look, Kolchak - I gotta tell you something. Some people dream about retiring.
Carl Kolchak: Uh-huh.
Capt. Joe 'Mad Dog' Siska: I dream about breaking your face.
Carl Kolchak: I love you too, Siska. Listen - how's your therapy coming along? A-okay?
Capt. Joe 'Mad Dog' Siska: Shut up.

John Dehner (as Capt. Rausch in "The Knightly Murders.")

Capt. Vernon Rausch [to Kolchak]: "You are a man who has resorted to lies and chicanery to the point of being pathological. I believe that you suffer from autosuggestion; and, in an obsessive desire to win approval expressed through the need for a big story, you convince yourself that what you want to be true *is* true. In short... I believe your brain has turned to onion dip."

The monsters might have frequently been cheesy, but the show was graced with some great dialogue.

If only this BD edition could trigger the release of a soundtrack CD
because I wish to listen to the music scores of Gil Mellé, Jerry Fielding,
Luchi de Jesus and Greig McRictchie.

Never saw St. Elsewhere?

Never saw Mannix?
