Why is Netflix using episodes used in syndication for the episodes that originally aired as 2 hour specials? Is that all universal offered them?

The Blu Ray set is the same.

It may depend on the set. I think the Japanese set has the 2-hour versions, but perhaps someone who actually owns it can confirm.

What I mean is, the series premiere in season 1 was a 2 hour tele movie. As were the other 2 hour episodes. But Netflix is showing them one hour episodes at a time with scenes cut
