    Hey everyone:

Was just wondering which of these Klipsch Speaker lines would be better for home theater and for dynamic, rock music.

Is the Reference series a step up from the KLF series? (are the KLF series current or discontinued?)

    Thanks. Jasen

    Jasen,
I currently have both the RF-3's and KLF-20's. I love both but will be replacing the KLF-20's with the RF-7's soon. Actually I will be moving the 20's to the rear and place the 7's in the main position. I also have the RC-7 center which is wonderful.
I like both but I think I like the Reference series better.
Either one ROCKS[IMG] and are great for reproduction of home theatre.

I'm pretty sure the KLF line was discontinued.

KLF line was discontinued last year. If you could find a dealer with some in stock they can be had for about 1/2 price.

The KLF series you refer to is called by Klipsch the "Legend" series, they are a discontinued series, but places like Sound Advice in Florida still have them on their showroom floors.

KLF-30's can also be found on ubid.com for around $1000 shipped.

I prefer the Legends, so I bought 10 of them [IMG]
But in all fairness the demo I had of the RF-7's wasn't that good as the guy at Tweeter wouldn't really turn them up. At the lower levels that were OK.
I LOVE my Legends quiet or loud....
Obviously YOU need to demo both before you make a decision. If you live near Chicago I'd be glad to give you a Legendary demo....Mike

My dad bought the KLF30's and they're great. He got them on clearance from JandR for $720/pr....They don't need a sub.[IMG]
