Also read this thread. Thomas Berg has both the Rotel and a Pioneer that has been receiving rave reviews in his home and is going to do a shootout. When you see the about $2000 price, remember that they are referring to list price, as well as in Canadian dollars.

I have the full Klipsch Reference 7 line. For me, I am 100% pleased with them. Like Scott Goldsmith, I too have the harman kardon ave520 matched up with them. I agree with him, seems to be a great match for me.

I would like to hear a pair of La Scalas' someday. I hear they are fantastic.

So far Julian hasn't responded to my email. I will keep you posted though. Right now, my Klipsch speakers sound so good with the Rotel 1066/Parasound 1205A combo, it makes me quiver with anticipation. Absolutely no harshness at all, at least on India Arie, whom I'm listening to right now.
