My friend inherited a large pair klipsch -- he claims they have a 10 in the back, an 8 & 6 up front, and the standard horn. I am trying to advise him buying a larger (4 ohm) receiver. He has no idea what the model number is, so I am not able to help him. Anyone out there know what this is ...and what I should be telling him to drive it with???

Depending on the efficiency rating of the speaker and the power rating on the receiver, he might be OK.

Because Klipsch speakers are a little bright, Denon receivers work well with Klipsch speakers cause of there warm sound. my 2801 sounds great with my KLF-20's and RS-7's.
