klh model 09's?, look kind of like the bose? (1 Viewer)

I picked up 5 klh model 09's that look similar to the bose double cubes, from a garage sale $35 they look nice, 100watts a piece, and have twistable tweeters, any comments on them would be appreciated as I do not know how well of quality they are, I already know that an external sub will definately be needed as I do not expect any bass from them, moreless want to know if the highs and mids are any good.

I've seen those speakers, but never heard them. BUT, I do have all KLH speakers in my theater room and I like them very much. A lot of guys will say they're junk, but they sound great for the money.

I have a 6 piece set of the Model 09s, it was one of those HTB setups, came with a powered subwoofer and such. The speakers themselves aren't bad sounding, but you wont get epic bass response out of the satellites alone. And I wouldn't try pumping more than 50 watts through the speakers.. But otherwise, I do love the sound of the tweeters, and the 'Twist' feature is pretty handy if youre stuffing them in the corner of a room on the wall. Also, if you want big sound, I would not recommend using the 09s as your stereo mains. they do quite well for surround though.
sounds like a good find though for $35 !
