This new Kirk and Michael Douglas documentary details, maybe, the most successful father/son combination in film history is being shown on HBO starting tonight at 8:00 p.m. ET. The documentary was made by Lee Grant, a very talented actress who worked with Kirk in the 1951 film, "Detective Story" one of the best police films ever made. I'm definitely firing up the Tivo to capture this program. I'm going to sticky this thread for a while. The following is an acticle that discusses the two men and the documentary.

Another link which is a brief interview with Lee Grant about how this documentary came to fruition. By the way, Lee Grant was AA nominated for Best Supporting Actress for "Detective Story" before she was blacklisted by Hollywood because her first husband was blacklisted and she refused to testify against him in front of the House Un-American Activities Committee.
