Alamo?
it seems to me if they had used bigger stars it might have done better.
Could improved editions of THE GREATEST STORY EVER TOLD and/or THE HALLELUJAH TRAIL be forthcoming? Maybe THE MUSIC LOVERS on Blu? Here's hoping!
There were no profits to get, and grossing that amount of money means the film got zero. What a disaster.According to IMDB about Million Dollar Mystery, it was one of the biggest flops of the ‘80s. They had a contest to find $1,000,000 in the real world through clues from the film.
apparently, the film only grossed $1,000,000... so the winner, someone from Bakersfield, I believe, got the film’s profits.
I can’t say this is a ripoff of MAD WORLD, rather an homage, but it seems to me if they had used bigger stars it might have done better.
The possibilities are mouth watering:
Just looked through some old Box Office reports from our theatres and the best opening night gross was $293. It was a disaster. LolThere were no profits to get, and grossing that amount of money means the film got zero. What a disaster.
Like to see Truffaut's Wild Child and Small Change.
Scavenger Hunt and Cold Turkey were more in line with Mad World.Just looked through some old Box Office reports from our theatres and the best opening night gross was $293. It was a disaster. Lol
However, this title is a day one purchase for me. I love these try to be Mad Mad Mad Mad rip offs.

Is DARLING an MGM title?
are there any Best Picture noms left that MGM controls besides THE ALAMO?
Although there are stories of its demise, please release the roadshow print of John Wayne’s The Alamo.
