Is Love Me Tonight still coming?
And where do we sign up for that awesome box set?Or a Douglas Sirk box set along with Written On The Wind, A Time To Love And A Time To Die, Interlude and Battle Hymn, none of which have received a R1 blu ray release.
I like the Mirror Cracked film. The only problem I have with the story is that Agatha Christie took something terrible that happened to Gene Tierney and used it as the basis for a novel. I just don't think that is right.Glad to see The Mirror Crack'd join its brethren on Region A Blu-ray. It's the least of the three in quality, but the cast is super. I found the mystery by far the easiest of the three to solve.
I like it, too, but I think the mystery plotting and clues pale in comparison to the other two in terms of complexity. Of course, Death on the Nile and Evil Under the Sun were written at the height of her powers as a novelist. The Mirror Crack'd was a product of her later years when she was doing good but not great work. Of course, the screenwriters for the three films, in particular Crack'd and Evil, added their own "modern" insertions of insult-laden dialogue to spice things up.I like the Mirror Cracked film.
