I'm looking forward to hearing of the titles. There has to be a lot of great stuff.

Criterion has it as part of their Eclipse set of Lubitsch Musicals, albeit DVD-only. Though, perhaps Kino can do the Blu-ray while their DVD stays in print?

KinoInsider, any interest in releasing Death of a Gunfighter (1967) and Stranger on the Run (1967), 2 late period westerns from Don Siegel?

To Thomas' wonderful list, I would add (assuming Universal still controls them all) in chronological order:

Counsellor At Law (1932) Lionel Barrymore
Secret Of the Blue Room (1933) Lionel Atwill, Gloria Stuart
One Hundred Men and a Girl (1937) Deanna Durbin
Bank Dick, Never Give A Sucker An Even Break, It's A Gift, etc. (1940's) W.C. Fields
    Arabian Nights (1942) Jon Hall
    Suspect, The (1944) Charles Laughton
    Black Angel (1946) Dan Duryea
An Act Of Murder (1948) Frederick March, Edmund O'Brien
No Name On the Bullet (1959) Audie Murphy
Flower Drum Song (1961) Nancy Kwan
Forty Pounds Of Trouble (1962) Tony Curtis
Captain Newman, M.D. (1963) Gregory Peck, Angie Dickinson
    Shenandoah (1965) James Stewart
Mary, Queen Of Scots (1972) Vanessa Redgrave, Glenda Jackson
    Breezy (1973) William Holden
Border, The (1982) Jack Nicholson, Harvey Keitel
    Mask (1985) Cher, Eric Stoltz
    Cry Freedom (1987) Kevin Kline
    Affliction (1997) Nick Nolte
Man On the Moon (1999) Jim Carrey
    Billy Elliot (2000) Gary Lewis
    Millions (2004) James Nesbitt

I have no idea which silent films might still be with Universal.

Please - Let's not have everyone listing every title they want. That's not what this thread is supposed to be about..

Where else would you suggest we post them, then? These lists are all in direct response to Kino's announcement.

And, while I'm at it, I second AT PLAY IN THE FIELDS OF THE LORD from another poster's list.

Ha, just like the mythological monster, The Hydra. You cut a head off and two grow in its place. A title is released & two wanted titles take its place (& I've been guilty of that), but that's what makes the commercial world go around, & I'm sure Kino aren't complaining.

Kino released The Border last year. Arrow has Black Angel coming soon. Keep up, people! :)

Needless to say but with 200+ titles, a lot of our wishlists will be met. If I know Kino, a lot of titles with have name directors or actors...plus you know theres going to be some Noirs and Westerns :)

Okay, I'll stick one (Paramount) title in mix that hasn't been on these latest lists, Kitty (1945) staring Ray Milland & Paulette Goddard. I don't think I've seen it since the early sixties.

    I'm all in for:

    Deanna Durbin films (Winnipeg's Sweetheart)
Here Come the Nelsons (a must release)
Dorothy Lamour Sarong films from the 30's and early 40's
Joel McCrea Westerns (like "Saddle Tramp")
    Henry Aldrich Comedies
    Audie Murphy Westerns
    Jack Benny Comedies
Bing Crosby 30's and early 40's films
    (those have been so neglected)

And Bachelor Father, Hec Ramsey or Restless Gun for the TV series. Woop-woop! :3dglasses:

Anything that's not just warhorse stuff from 50's and beyond for film, or late 70's and beyond on TV, would be fine with me.

Gary "so much potential for great films" O.

Knew I was forgetting something. Besides the breakdown of titles per decade (or genre) and when we will start seeing some of the titles from this new deal announced/released, I'd also be curious to find out how many of them will be titles making their home video debut (at least, with no previous releases in the DVD and Blu-ray formats).

Plenty of great titles here. I understand Black Angel is being released by Arrow on Blu Ray later this month.

All worthy titles here. As much as I like many titles being upgraded from DVD to Blu Ray, I would like to see more titles released that never were out in any format....and there are plenty of those.

I wish they could do all four films in the lubutsch set as three of them are noms, and very funny films.
