We will start listing more titles that will soon go on moratorium. These titles will be available while quantities last. The list of titles will be updated regularly.

We will not restock these if they're sold-out and we will not renew these titles when our deal with the studio expires.

Here's a small starting list:

Angie (1994)
At War with the Army (1950)
Avalanche (1978)
Back Roads (1981)
Bad Man's River (1972)
Betsy’s Wedding (1990) | Holy Matrimony (1994) Double Feature
Boys (1996)
Captain Apache (1972)
The Cemetery Club (1993)
Cop-Out (1967) Stranger in the House
Crossing the Bridge (1992) | Indian Summer (1993) Double Feature
Eleni (1985)

KL Insider:

Has a release date been announced yet for My Gun is Quick?

Does Kino-Lorber have any plans to release the following other Mike Hammer films from the 1950s and 1960s:

I, the Jury (1953)

Kiss Me Deadly (1955) {Criterion Collection released this on 6/21/11)

Thank you in advance for your response.

My Gun is Quick should be early 2020.

I, the Jury (1953) is in legal hell.

Kiss Me Deadly (1955) was released by Criterion and I doubt they would release the rights.

Thank you so much for the reply.

I look forward to purchasing My Gun is Quick when it is released and I hope I, The Jury (1953) finally gets legally untangled at some point so a release can happen.

Have a great weekend!

If ever I, the Jury, were to be released from hell, it should go to 3-D Film Archive Paradise so that it could receive a proper restoration. The film is awesome in 3D. I know: I've seen it.

Thanks for the list of titles that are going on moratorium.

If anyone hasn't picked it up yet, I recommend The High Commissioner (Nobody Runs Forever), it's an excellent Rod Taylor/Christopher Plummer film. It doesn't hurt that the beautiful Daliah Lavi is in it as well.

I agree. I picked it up as a blind buy during the last sale, and watched it a few weeks ago. Decent 1960s police/spy intrigue (though not an action film) with an excellent cast and solid production personnel backing them up.

And thank you, Kino Lorber Insider, for the heads-up on titles going out of print. I wish more companies would do this (only one other, that I'm aware of, likewise does so), as usually the only way I find out is after the fact, when third-party sellers suddenly jack-up the asking price on a title, and major retailers just list it as 'back-order' or 'out-of-stock'. Fortunately, I have what I want from the current list, but it's comforting to know that I can prioritize anything potentially appearing on upcoming lists.

I saw a screening of it earlier this year at TIFF Bell Lightbox. It's a brilliant western that is superbly acted and directed. Can't wait to pick it up on disc, I don't think it's had a home video release since VHS (?)

Correct. This has been a "lost" gem for decades as far as video is concerned. This is celebratory news!
