I remember seeing "A Man Called Adam" at one of my hometown's downtown theaters when I was a kid. Those rundown theaters were dumps even then as only such "B" movies like this one would show there as the big-time movies would show at the newer movie complexes in or around the shopping malls. The movie was definitely over my juvenile head as I had to be about 11-12 years old when I saw it. I don't have much memory of it except Sammy kissing on some hot women.:) One more thing, I do remember Frank Sinatra Jr. in the film as well as Peter Lawford.

I remember seeing Anna Lucasta in '58-59 (eight or nine-years-old) and understanding practically nothing. Got it later on on a subsequent viewing. I have also seen the earlier version (1949) starring Paulette Goddard. Has anybody else seen this one?

We asked for Modern Millie, but it wasn't available. We were not interested in Flower Drum Song.

We have no plans of releasing any of these Fox titles on BD.

I'm astonished and delighted by this announcement. No, the film is fairly awful, but I only have it on a full frame laserdisc, so it will be nice to see it in better quality. This will give us all four of the film versions of this famous story on disc. (Warner Archive could help matters by cleaning up the 1965 version and giving it to us on Blu-ray to complete the quartet.)

To say nothing of when we can get a really nice, sharp, restored edition of the 1945 version, which easily bests all the rest? The current Blu-ray is a joke.

I find this to be a rather astonishing statement: We were not interested in Flower Drum Song.

Just wow, folks. Especially as they've done a rather spectacular new transfer of it, which you can see on Vudu. I just scratch my head sometimes, but whatever. :)

I agree. Kino might not be interested in this film, but many of us are.

Just curious if there might any chance at all in the future with these Fox titles: Henry Koster's The Story of Ruth, Raoul Walsh's Esther and the King or Michael Curtiz's Francis of Assisi? Three great directors and three excellent genre films which would be wonderful for the holidays. Kino has given us some real treats in this genre before and we who love these are truly grateful.

THE NUDE BOMB is pretty innocuous stuff (PG, I believe)...the title's a bit of a tease if you're looking for any real "skin." I also didn't find it very funny, and certainly not "hilarious." As always, a matter of taste. But I think there will be a majority agreement that Barbara Feldon is sorely missed.

My kids were 10 and 8 years old when THE NUDE BOMB was all over the pay TV channels and they loved it. It allowed me to introduce them to the original "Get Smart" series which they also enjoyed. I wish THE NUDE BOMB had been better but it does contain some funny location work utilizing the Universal backlot tour plus some terrific stuntwork.
